MUJI vs. Crate & Barrel vs. Anthropologie Home
MUJI is simplicity - but a simplicity achieved through a complexity of thought and design.
MUJI’s streamlining is the result of the careful elimination and subtraction of gratuitous features and design unrelated to function.
MUJI, the brand, is rational, and free of agenda, doctrine, and “isms.” The MUJI concept derives from us continuously asking, “What is best from an individual’s point of view?”
MUJI aspires to modesty and plainness, the better to adapt and shape itself to the styles, preferences, and practices of as wide a group of people as possible. This is the single most important reason people embrace MUJI.
MUJI - in its deliberate pursuit of the pure and the ordinary - achieves the extraordinary.

Trip to Adams Morgan

For this trip, I explored Adams Morgan. This is one of the spots I hang around a lot, night life or day strolling, whenever the mood strikes or occasions rise.
I take red line metro to Woodley Park Zoo/ Adams Morgan metro station. From there, I walk a 15 min course to Adams Morgan. I know I'm getting closer to the busy street when I see a gas station and town houses end abruptly. First, I grab a coffee from Tryst bar/restaurant, a place I like to chill out instead of the usual trip to Starbucks. With my usual in hand, I visit Idle Time book store where I idle around browsing many old and rare books. I walk outside again, and I find Crooked Beats Records store, and take a mental note to visit there sometime. Next, I hang with my friend to Madams Organ bar, Where I drink accordingly to my budget; however, it's happy hour, so my drinks fit the bill perfectly. I walk back to the metro station, trying not to look tipsy as possible. Around the metro area, there is a cute sushi joint, called Tono Sushi. On occasion, I would stumble in there and get some sushi and nice warm Sake. However, the day's exploring ended with a couple of pineapple and rum.
